Mugafi, the AI-driven entertainment studio, has partnered with Avalanche ($AVAX) to bring real-world film, anime, music, sports, and comic IPs on-chain through the industry’s first dedicated Entertainment IP Launchpad.

The platform tokenizes verifiable entertainment intellectual property as real-world assets (RWAs), allowing creators to raise capital directly from global Web3 investors while giving fans and retail participants fractional ownership, transparent revenue sharing, and governance rights in projects they love.

From Scripts to Tokens in 90 Days

Traditional entertainment financing is slow, opaque, and gate-kept. A single Bollywood or Hollywood film can take 2–5 years and dozens of intermediaries to reach audiences. Mugafi claims its new Avalanche-powered pipeline collapses that timeline to roughly 90 days.

At the heart of the system are three proprietary AI engines:

  • VED: analyzes scripts for narrative strength, character arcs, and audience resonance
  • Pulse: predicts commercial performance using historical box-office, streaming, and social data
  • IPScore: assigns a risk-adjusted score out of 100 to every project before it is tokenized

Only projects that pass rigorous AI + human curation are minted as tokenized IP assets on Avalanche’s high-throughput, low-cost Layer-1.

The Numbers Are Already Big

  • Catalog value: >$1 billion in existing and pipeline IP
  • Projects coming on-chain: 1,000+ in the first wave
  • Flagship title: Kuberaa (2025 theatrical release, $35M box office, currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
  • Short-term fundraising goal: $10M+ across the first 5–10 tokenized projects
  • Long-term vision: >$1 billion annual throughput within 3–5 years

How Tokenized IP Actually Works on Mugafi Launchpad

  1. Project Submission & AI Scoring
Creators upload scripts, bibles, or finished assets. AI engines return viability reports within hours.
  2. Tokenization on Avalanche
Approved IPs are wrapped into ERC-20-compliant “IP Tokens” representing fractional economic and governance rights. Smart contracts handle primary raises, secondary trading, and automated revenue distribution.
  3. Revenue Sharing Goes On-Chain
Every dollar earned — box office, OTT licensing, merchandise, music royalties, etc. — flows through transparent Avalanche smart contracts and is distributed pro-rata to token holders in USDC or AVAX.
  4. Secondary Markets & Liquidity
Tokens trade 24/7 on Avalanche-native DEXs and eventually on centralized exchanges, giving projects permanent capital markets that traditional studios lack.

Why Avalanche?

Mugafi evaluated Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and several L2s before choosing Avalanche for three reasons:

  • Sub-second finality and near-zero gas fees (critical for micro-transactions like fan tipping or in-app purchases)
  • Custom Subnets capability — Mugafi plans a dedicated “Entertainment Subnet” in 2026 for compliance-isolated institutional flows
  • Proven RWA track record — Avalanche already powers tokenized funds, real estate, and credit instruments worth billions

Backers and Early Traction

The studio has raised from Nexus Venture Partners, Hashed Emergent, Ajay Nair (ex-Netflix India), and several Hollywood and Bollywood producers. Redacted Group, the Web3 entertainment studio behind projects with Travis Scott and Warner Music, is leading capital syndication and global distribution.

Within 48 hours of the December 4 announcement, over 12,000 users minted “Genesis Passes” that grant early access to upcoming IP drops.

A Trillion-Dollar Convergence?

Global entertainment and media is a $2.2 trillion industry still largely offline and illiquid. By combining AI risk assessment with blockchain capital markets, Mugafi and Avalanche are attempting to do for film and music what Spotify did for distribution and what Securitize and Centrifuge did for private credit — only at much larger scale.

If even 1–2% of annual entertainment spend flows through tokenized IP within a decade, the addressable market for $AVAX-based RWAs exceeds $20–40 billion.

For now, the Mugafi Launchpad is live in beta at mugafi.com/launchpad. The first five tokenized projects — including an anime series co-produced with a major Japanese studio and a pan-India action thriller — are scheduled to go live before March 2026.

The age of fans owning pieces of the movies they love, and getting paid when those movies succeed, has officially begun.
